This configuration adds a PZT mounted absorbing film, a PZT mounted fold mirror, photodetector and electronic control unit.


The core element of the Ametist SF-07, the resonant reflector with absorbing film is implemented as a compact solid monoblock at the same time used as an internal frequency reference for frequency stabilizer loop. This kind of fine frequency selector and internal reference cavity is used for the first time in the Ametist SF-07. A wide 15-GHz hopless frequency scanning range of the laser also features original design. The cavity length is adjusted by means of 4 PZT's that move the fold mirror. The resonator length is adjusted so as to precisely match the change in reference cavity base and hence, the frequency. In this process, the thin etalon included into the resonator is synchronously scanned with the help of a servomotor. The scan rate of the single frequency dye laser Ametist SF-07 can be as high as 10 GHz/sec.
