The AMETIST-Family of CW Dye Laser

The AMETIST CW Dye Laser is tunable from 550 to 700 nm at the DPSS green laser pump (532 or 515 nm) and from 275 to 350 nm at intracavity frequency doubling.

In designing the AMETIST-Family CW Dye Lasers, the first priority was to achieve an inexpensive reliable device. To that end, the AMETIST-Family is based upon the simple linear cavity, which is characterized by the low threshold generation, easy cavity alignment and parameters repetition from start to start.

Three-component bi-refringent selector used in the AMETIST-Family narrowband and single-frequency lasers has an original combination of component thickness and an unusual orientation of the optical axis, which is a key factor to the widest possible line detuning range realized without frequency hops at the extreme detunings.

Quartz nozzle of AMETIST-Family Lasers provides highest jet quality (with respect to stability, flatness and homogeneity). The nozzle mount has an additional channel for spilled dye. This absolutely prevents dye spilling at the moment of start or shut-down.

The new precision mechanics of the AMETIST-Family Laser Head make it easy to obtain optimum characteristics of the coherent tunable light.
