Powerful Laser-Medical Complex "Spectromed-III"

The powerful laser-medical complex "Spectromed-III" consists of an powerful argon laser featuring output power up to 40 W in all green-blue lines. It operates on the CW dye laser "Ametist" with the output up to 5 W and the wide 620-700 nm working spectral range. The installation comes with a fast laser power meter "LPM-905", exposure meter "Expo" and necessary fibre optics.

The main features of the system:

High output power of the lasers that make up the system
Broad working spectral range that allows one to use any of the domestically manufactured first and second generation photosensitisers as well as their foreign analogues
Calibration of the dye laser output wavelength
Optional application of the powerful argon laser for surgery, coagulation, and sterilisation
Comparatively little (3-5 min) readiness time of the complex (systems, employing metal-vapour lasers this time amounts to an hour or more)
Reliability of the laser system is based upon a long lasting discharge tube of the argon laser "Inversion" (high current sectioned discharge tube) and fail-safe "Ametist" dye laser circulation module

The experience acquired at the Siberian Centre of Laser Medicine (Novosibirsk branch of the State Scientific Centre for Laser Medicine of the Russian Ministry of Health) in the course of operation on the powerful laser-medical complex "Spectromed" during 1992-1999 proves the high efficiency, reliability and compatibility with safety requirements of these systems.
